Carnauba wax, in its natural state, is the hardest wax known to man. Typically found in Brazil, this wax is taken from the leaves of the Brazilian Yellow plant. In automotive use, this can be used naturally or it can be combined with other natural composites to create a different grade of wax. The wax I use is a blend of Carnauba wax and Beeswax. Once applied to a polished car, the results are instantly noticeable. Delivering a "wet" look to the paint, Carnauba is by far the best wax money can buy and a single pot can cost up to £7000!
All waxes will absorb any contaminants trying to attack your paint, so over time any wax will break down and slowly fade away. Carnauba wax is no different. However, Carnauba wax can be applied in layers, thus improving your vehicles shine and improving the resistance to contaminants.
Carnauba wax can be applied by either machine polishers or hand. When Carnauba coating a vehicle, I always apply by hand. This ensures correct and complete coverage of all parts of your vehicles paintwork. Recommended for newer vehicles, Carnauba wax is an optional upgrade to any of my valet services.
Below you will see an example of what a vehicle looks like after it has been treated with a coat of Carnauba wax.
